The Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued New York-based crypto exchange Gemini on Thursday on allegations that the exchange’s employees misled the agency’s staff in July and August 2017 about how easily a bitcoin futures contract’s price could be manipulated in an effort to convince the agency to allow the bitcoin futures contract to begin trading.
