Our team has internally been sharing ways to support people affected by the crisis in Ukraine, so we thought we’d share some of those options with the general public.
The Giving Block has set up a Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund which makes it possible to support multiple organizations that are providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine using cryptocurrency. The charity itself helps nonprofits accept crypto donations and allow donors to quickly identify and donate to crypto-ready charities.
Supporting the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund splits donations equally across the eleven organizations that are urgently providing medical care and aid to children and their families.
Below are three charities included in this fund, which you can also choose to support independently:
Project Hope works on the front lines of the world’s health challenges. Their emergency teams in Europe are sending medical supplies to Ukraine, and are on standby to provide health screening and care for refugees.
Direct Relief provides medical resources to those in emergency situations. They are providing the Ukrainian Ministry of Health with care supplies, tourniquets, and other supplies needed to treat people in the field. Notably, the organization spends 0% of its donations on fundraising.
Save the Children are committed to giving children the best chance for the future. Their Ukraine crisis response aims to reach 3.5 million vulnerable children and their families through distributing essential supplies, providing cash and vouchers, and much more.
